While most of the nation celebrated the 200th Anniversary of American Independence in 1976, Schertz started the celebration a year early. The first Jubilee celebration in 1975 is honored today as one South Texas’ largest tribute to freedom and the men and women who serve in the armed forces! Complete with live musical entertainment, a parade, a 5K Run, a carnival, food and fun, in Schertz we have something for the whole family.
And what would the Fourth of July be without the rockets red glare? Nothing! Schertz is proud to be the home of the only annual Star Spangled Spectacular that goes off in rain, shine, drought or flood. At Jubilee we celebrate freedom by showcasing the diversity that makes us great!
Date: July 3rd through July 4th
